In the Bund through time to see the past and future of Shanghai.

The Bund, a must-see attraction in Shanghai, is home to architectural structures from numerous countries and eras. When the lights go on at night, the Bund becomes spectacular, with old-era buildings sprinkled beneath coloured lights, giving you an impression of "ten kilometres of a foreign court." The ancient Shanghai financial and foreign trade institutions can help you grasp the old Shanghai capitalism on the Bund's western side. Pudong Lujiazui, located across the river from the Bund, is home to the landmark Oriental Pearl, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai Center, and Shanghai World Financial Center, giving you a true sense of Shanghai's life and prosperity. If this does not satisfy you, you can take a night boat on the Huangpu River to view the scenery from both sides.

Walking among the buildings of old Shanghai

If the Bund and Lujiazui are the faces of Shanghai, Puxi Wutong Street must be another. High walls and deep dwellings, iron gates closed, Wutong in the courtyard deep behind the old buildings. Although not flashy, the old Shanghai buildings here can be viewed from the two floors where the eye can reach the third floor between the carved exquisite deep understanding of it. The lush branches of paulownia trees may be seen on the courtyard wall. Pedestrians can be seen walking along the roadside in the modern city.
